Angel Meadow has had some brilliant coverage in Your Family History magazine today with a two-page Meet the Author feature. It’s an interesting read for anyone wanting to find out why I became interested in Angel Meadow and how I wrote the book. The magazine also features a review of Angel Meadow, which says: “Many will have heard of the notorious London slums such as the Old Nichol and the St Giles areas, but fewer may be aware of the equivalents further north. Yet, as Dean Kirby shows in this detailed book, the Mancunian slum area of Angel Meadow was just as grim.”
